Ah, my favorite post of the month: showcasing an amazing employee! It’s time again to brag on my exceptional team.

It’s important for me that you all know who my team is for a number of reasons. The first being that I couldn’t do what I do without them. They make SAO possible, and bring to the table skills that complement and exceed my own.

Another reason is: I spend so much time harping on the importance of a tribe and building a team, I can show a great example as my own. The SAO team is part of my tribe, so I want you all to know just how important they are to me.

A Little About Shannon

This month, Shannon Deckard!

A Wonder Woman of sorts, Shannon was born and raised in Missouri and is a proud mother of three young boys, Blake who is 12 and twin boys, Kale and Kole who are 11. Her fiance has been active in the military for over 12 years and is deploying to Korea in November for an 8 month training rotation. Even with all that going on, she still finds time to kick butt on our team!

Like I said, Wonder Woman!

Shannon brings over 12 years of experience and has filled a multitude of roles within the SAO team. Before SAO was even conceptualized, Shannon worked for nearly four years at my orthodontic practice before taking time off after the birth of her twins.

Why Shannon Is So Great At SAO

Several years back at one of my first mastermind meetings, I was asked to create a list of things I wanted to accomplish in the next 90 days. Second on my list was to hire a personal assistant. After hearing my list, a few people came up to me and said, “you need to make that your top priority.” I came back from that meeting, convinced that I needed a personal assistant, and immediately sat down to outline job duties.

Shortly after, I hired Shannon, the most capable, well-suited person to be my personal assistant. She’d already worked several years at the orthodontics practice, and I knew she was beyond qualified for the role.

Why is Shannon such a wonderful employee?

The things I’ve been able to accomplish are largely in part due to Shannon’s work on the backend. First of all, she makes sure all the paperwork and tiny details are present and accounted for. Plus, Shannon is extremely well-versed in self-directed accounts and how they can be utilized in real estate investing. She has also handled hundreds of transactions with custodians on self-directed accounts.

Why You Need The Right Key Players on Your Team

A word to the wise: you need a Shannon in your life.

You need someone like Shannon who makes you more productive and eliminates the minutiae, so you can take more action. She is a key asset to our team. She is the glue that keeps everything together. Again, you need someone like Shannon as a personal assistant if you really want to be a key player in this business.

Shannon is also an investor in her own right. She personally owns rental properties in Indiana and Missouri. In addition, she has participated in joint venture lending investments to flip homes in Alabama.

In fact, Shannon is going to be financially free long before I was because she’s been introduced to our kind of investing. And we couldn’t be happier to watch her grow! Shannon is a picture perfect image of someone taking ACTION.

Shannon, we couldn’t do it without you and couldn’t be happier to have you on our team. Thanks for all you do!
